Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is a television series American , adapted by Frank Darabont ( director of the film The Shawshank Redemption , The Green Mile , The Majestic and The Mist ) and Robert Kirkman creator of the eponymous American comic . It is broadcast from 31 October 2010 on AMC . The series currently has two seasons plus a third that was confirmed, with 6 episodes for the first, 13 for second and 16 for third. The series focuses on Rick Grimes, a police officer, who discovers after a long coma that almost the entire population has been turned into zombies . The Walking Dead has been named several times during the ceremony of the Golden Globe Awards and Saturn Awards .
